Clinical activities and interests/research

After completion of vascular training in the UK I gained overseas experience working in the trauma unit, and the transplant unit at Groote Schuur hospital, Cape Town. I was then awarded a Royal College of Surgeons of England Fellowship in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy at Guy’s & The Royal Free Hospitals and am now the lead surgeon for renal and vascular access surgery at the Royal Free hospital.  Research interests include micro-vascular physiology and the development of novel conduits for small calibre arterial bypass surgery using nanotechnologies
