Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
Musculoskeletal radiology
I completed my MBBS in 1989 and successfully completed my radiology training from Pakistan’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1995. After completing my Royal College of Radiologists fellowship in 1999 I did further radiology residency training from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London.
My training in bone and soft tissue tumour radiology was at the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital (RNOH), Stanmore and at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), Oswestry. I completed 18 months in these fellowships and was appointed as a consultant radiologist in RNOH in 2005.
I take part in the management of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. I regularly attend the MDT meetings, take part in the diagnosis and radiological assessment of patients, and am involved in teaching junior doctors. My specialist interests include diagnostic imaging and the treatment of bone tumours by minimally invasive therapy including CT guided RF tumour ablations in spinal and orthopaedic pathologies.
