Clinical activities and interests/research

My clinical interests include diseases of the liver, pancreas, biliary tree and soft tissue tumours (sarcoma) of the trunk, abdomen, pelvis and retro-peritoneum.  I also have specific training in minimally invasive and laparoscopic major HPB surgery. I am fully trained in simple and complex benign general and HPB surgery, including gall bladder disease and hernia repair.

I have an extensive research portfolio including clinical and basic science research. I have particular experience and interest in translational research and my PhD focused on the genomics, proteomics and biology of cancer and how this has advanced our understanding of the disease.
