Head and neck sarcomas are a group of tumours that require particularly careful management for the best results. Both soft tissue and bone tumours can arise, of a wide range of types, frequently needing complex combination treatments. This requires close working of sarcoma oncologists with head and neck surgeons. The sarcoma oncologists sub-specialising in head and neck sarcomas regularly attend the weekly head and neck MDT Meeting to discuss the large number of head and neck sarcomas treated.
