A recent audit carried out by the retroperitoneal sarcoma team at UCLH and RFH has shown excellent outcomes for the service. The team collected data on all retroperitoneal surgery carried out in 2010 and 2011

For both primary and recurrent retroperitoneal surgery all cases had macroscopic clearance and there were no deaths. There were only 2 cases requiring further operations due to complications. The team will continue to audit the service and hope to maintain these excellent outcomes.
